RilakkumaA character costume bear. We′re not sure who′s inside the costume but Rilakkuma spends its days lying around relaxing. Mostly concerned with what meals and snack it gets. -
KorilakkumaA white bear cub that came from who knows where. Korilakkuma has a red button on its chest, so it seems like it′s not a real bear. Kiiroitori named it. Korilakkuma loves pranks and is a bit mischievous and full of energy. -
KiiroitoriA level-headed, reliable, little yellow bird. Kiiroitori treasures the two little hairs on its head. Hard working and likes to keep things tidy. Saves money as a hobby. -
ChairoikogumaA real bear who lives in the Honey Forest. Known for its fluffy chest hair, it shows its fangs when its mouth is open. Honey is stuck to its bottom, making Chairoikoguma fragrant with a sweet honey smell. Its dream is to grow up. -
AwawanekoA popular livestreamer who creates online videos about food and travel. With an independent personality, Awawaneko can travel alone, but is prone to panic when something unexpected happens. There is a cat patch on the stomach of this costumed cat. It sports a charming, foam-like, fluffy tail. -
YobiiiA tottering seal that walks on two legs. Searching for warmth, Yobiii seems to find itself wandering around in all sorts of places before it realizes it.

Character DesignChie MoritaI had a lot of Rilakkuma-themed stationery as a child, but I never thought I would work on anime Rilakkuma as an adult.
I did some research on how to create an "essence of Rilakkuma" based off the original work so that audiences can feel a sense of closeness to a new side of Rilakkuma and its friends. The characters were designed so that you could feel a sense of warmth.
I hope you can feel how the characters move in the show.

MusicYoshiya IkedaWhen I was creating music for Rilakkuma, I thought of how the characters moved on screen, imagined what sort of music would be best, and what the music would sound like if we were to hang out with them. It was such a fun time.
We split who would be in charge of the music for each of the episodes amongst the three of us. Even though the atmosphere was relaxing, I believe each of us were able to implement particular details we wanted to.

Lilas Ikuta
Born September 25th, 2000, Lilas Ikuta is a singer-songwriter from Tokyo. In January 2022, she wrote a song called "Sparkle" for the ABEMA original love reality show Kyou, Suki ni Narimashita. It was her first song to reach more than 200 million plays on streaming platforms, garnering her much attention.
In March 2023, Lilas released her first album, Sketch, writing and composing all of the songs. It took first place on the Oricon digital album charts. That same month, she had success with her solo tour SKETCH. In January 2025, she wrote the song "Hyakka Ryoran," which served as the opening theme for the TV anime The Apothecary Diaries' first cour of its second season. That was her first time being in charge of an anime opening theme song. In April, she released "Koikaze," the second theme song for the reality show Kyou, Suki ni Narimashita, on streaming. It set a record, reaching 100 million plays on streaming, her fastest yet. In October, she wrote "Actor," the ending theme song for TV anime SPYxFAMILY's third season, and also released "Voyage," the theme song for LOVE DAN, a program about high school dance contest videos on DayDay. Nippon TV. In December, she released her second album, Laugh, on streaming, garnering her much attention and ending the year appearing on the 76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. Lilas also entered her first foray into voice acting, performing as the main character Suzu's best friend in Belle, an animated film directed by Mamoru Hosoda back in 2021. She has also voiced the main character in Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction as Kadode Koyama. Lilas has many faces as she is also a global ambassador for fashion brand Coach, showing her versatility.
